Get to Know The ACS Team

Kim Francis

Commission Manager

Kim has been the Commission Manager with ACS for 7 years.

Her role within the company has many facets. She conducts payroll for all ACS employees, sub-contractors, and partners. Every month Kim receives provider payout reports, then disperses the proper commission payments to our sales partners.

On top of that, she sends payout disputes to and proactively requests payments for orders before they are missed. With many years in finance and accounting, Kim is a great asset to ACS and we are very proud to have her on our team.

What is something people don't know about you?

I try to stay active as much as possible. I do workouts/activities at least 5 if not 6 days a week – activities include walking, tai chi, and classes at my gym like yoga , sculpting, and pilates.

One of my favorite activities is ballroom dancing. I’ve even tried tap dancing way too late in life. I am no longer involved in tap classes, but when certain songs come on the radio, my feet have a life all their own and tap along to the songs

In The 10 Years You Have Been In The Telecom Industry What Changes Have You Seen?

There have been many changes, however the most tangible for me is the number of employees and agents processed through payroll. We’ve acquired 6 times more partners than when I began working with ACS in 2015. It’s exciting seeing how much ACS has grown.

What’s your productivity hack?

I use the divide and conquer hack – if you can call it a hack – for many an activity including various and sundry volunteer tasks. I feel like one is much more productive when managing one simple task at a time and perfecting it.

It seems when someone is good at a small piece of a project they are able to contribute greatly to the whole project and feel good about doing their one simple piece.

Where did you work before ACS?

I’ve been with ACS since 2015. Immediately prior to working for ACS, I was with Telcom Insight with Doug McMillan and his team starting in 2011. I still think of him often. He was a great guy who is very missed.

After having been home for 17 years raising three children and doing a myriad of volunteer jobs including the president, accountant, and editor of PTAs, Booster Clubs, Philanthropic organizations, and Not for Profit groups, it was time to see what the paying world had to offer. That’s when I found Telcom Insight. Prior to that, I was with a major Los Angeles newspaper for more than 13 years in various accounting positions.

Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?

If I have a hidden talent, I’ve yet to find it. My talents include artsy activities. I like to work with my hands – sewing, knitting, crocheting, etc.

I enjoy making memory blankets and quilts out of collections of old t-shirts or clothing from loved ones who have passed. I recently made a purse for my sister-in-law from her recently passed father’s sport coat.
